German Grammar

German Grammar and General Linguistics

The German Grammar group mainly deals with the empirically oriented description of German and other Germanic languages and the theoretical modelling of the descriptive findings. Since questions regarding general properties of language play an important role in argumentations for or against particular analyses, the research is not restricted to Germanic languages.

The modelling is done in the framework of HPSG.
